Seafloor topography by altimetry

Analysis of high-resolution altimetry data of the ERS-1 mission led to the production of a global bathymetric map (Calmant et al., 2002). Based on a generalised least-squares inversion method, this map provides sea floor depth estimates and the associated uncertainty values.
The IRD has published a version of the Calmant et al. (2002) global bathymetric char edited for the general public. The hardcopy version has been available since September 2006.
