The format of our reformatted files is as follows: The drops are concatenated. Position 20.00N, 123.34E and there are 382 temperature values in the drop. (ignore the SN) The temperatures are taken at 2 metre intervals, starting at 0.0 metres. The quality control flags 1 and 6 were given to this drop (these are explained in the CSIRO Cookbook for Quality Control of Expendable Bathythermograph (XBT) Data, version 1.0 but can probably be ignored). This drop was recorded with a T-4 probe and the first temperature value is 27.5 degrees. Note - some drops will not have probe type recorded with them.
