Research Interests:

Biogeochemical cycles of (biologically important) trace metals in the ocean
  • Using the Isotopic composition of Iron in seawater as a tool for tracing supply and removal of iron to the ocean and internal processes
  • Investigating supply processes of trace metals at the ocean boundaries (Continental shelf, hydrothermal vents, atmospheric dust)
  • Dissolved aluminium in seawater to trace dust inputs
  • Stable isotopes of transition metals

  • 2015 - 2016: Postdoctoral Research Fellow, University of Southampton, benthic cycling of iron on a temperate continental shelf, UK Shelf Seas Biogeochemistry project
  • 2010 - 2014: PhD in Marine Geochemistry, University of Southampton, Iron isotopes in seawater, method development and results from the Atlantic Ocean
  • 2009 - 2010: MRes Ocean Science, University of Southampton, dissolved aluminium in seawater to trace dust deposition to the North Atlantic Ocean
  • 2004 - 2009: BSc in Marine Science, University of Alicante
