Presentation of my works

Presently, I am taking part on the development of the hydrodynamic unstructured grid model T-UGOm (Toulouse Unstructured Grid Ocean model). As part of the project AMANDES (AMAzon ANDEanS), I am applying this model to the Amazon estuary and shelf.

In the following pages, I present the AMANDES project, the Amazon estuary and shelf (hoping it will encourage you to take holidays in this area), and the T-UGOm model. Furthermore, I give some explanations about where does tide come from, what is a model, and what do mean those barbaric words such as “hydrodynamic,” “unstructured grid,” and so on (accessible for secondary school level).

Lastly, I present the errors made by computers during numerical calculations. Maybe do you believe that computers are doing better computing than human beings? This may persuade you that, even if they do compute faster, their computations are generally less precise than ours.
