Yoann Le Bars’ research homepage — e-mail me

Welcome!

I am Yoann Le Bars, Ph.D. candidate at the Geophysical Studies and Spatial Observation Laboratory — Laboratoire d’Études en Géophysique et Observations Spatiales (LEGOS). As part of the Observatory of Midi-Pyrénées (OMP), this laboratory is supervised by the National Centre for Scientific Research — Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), — the National Centre for Spatial Sudies — Centre National d’Études Spatiales (CNES), — the Institute of Research for the Development (IRD), and the Paul Sabatier University (France). I am a member of the Coastal Oceanography Centre — Pôle d’Océanographie Côtière (POC) — and of the Coast and Open Ocean Exchanges team — Échanges CÔtes-LArge (ECOLA).

My expertise fields are applied mathematics and theoretical computer science. Presently, I am collaborating with Florent Lyard to develop the hydrodynamic model T-UGOm (Toulouse Unstructured Grid Ocean model) — dedicated to ocean study — and its application to the Amazon river estuary and shelf. T-UGOm inherits the MOG2D model and is able to do 3D ocean simulations.

In these pages, I present my research work: here, one can find the list of my publications, and my resume. There is also a presentation of my work accessible to everyone, both scientists and novices and a list of the lectures I have given. Lastly, there is the inevitable list of links, in connection with my research topics.

Only for french speaking people, there is also a little special feature.

Any remark, question or suggestion? E-mail me.
