TITLE: Global modeling of internal tides within an eddying general circulation model



Abstract:
I will discuss results from a collaboration between University of Michigan Florida State University, and Naval Research Laboratory-Stennis Space Center (NRLSSC), in which tides are added into 41-layer 1/12 and 1/25 degree global simulations of the eddying general circulation.  We will discuss various scientific and operational applications of these simulations, including applications relevant to current and planned satellite altimeter missions.
